Developing Your Intuition

Reblogged from Nancy Nicholas-Crossroads Coaching:

I often get asked how to develop intuition and be able to communicate with Spirit Guides and Angels.  The answer is both simple and complicated.  First, I’d like to clarify my viewpoint on intuition.  I feel we all have the ability to communicate with our higher self and the Divine beings that are here to support us.   I’ve found that most people actually do communicate with their Spiritual Support Team of Angels and Guides all the time, whether they realize it or not.

Aligning Your Beliefs with Your Truth

Reblogged from Nancy Nicholas-Crossroads Coaching:

One of the themes that have been coming up lately for my clients (and me too!) centers around examining our foundational beliefs.  What is it that you really believe?  Are you living by “codes” or “laws” that don’t really align with your core truths?

I’ve been doing some work with this concept and a few techniques came through to work with this idea.

Eostara, Easter, and egg salad

Reblogged from The Everyday Goddess Community:

Hello beautiful goddesses,

Today’s muse was about the simple pleasure of egg salad sandwiches the week after Easter.  I wrote that on my other blog, All Things Anne Wondra.  And then I got to thinking, it might be interesting if I share a little about Easter and Eostara with you here.

My background is in religious studies, from an academic standpoint and a life one.

Love this post from my Soul Friend, Anne Wondra! My son was just asking me how eggs and bunnies got associated with Easter...now I know!

Healthy Salt??

Dear Soul Friend’s:

Have you heard that salt is bad for you?   Well there is a type of salt that is actually very good for you which is unrefined ,  called celtic sea salt, which comes from the ocean.  Celtic sea salt is filled with 60-80 trace minerals (depending on the source you read) which are vital for our bodies to function.

As a former critical care, emergency and flight nurse, after we make sure a patient is breathing, the next treatment is to start an IV and administer sodium chloride solution, which is salt water or physiologic saline.   Sodium is an electrolyte  needed by the human body.

For optimal health we need to decrease our intake of refined salt in processed food, fast food, frozen and canned food and increase our intake of celtic sea salt.

Celtic sea salt can be purchased online at many websites, including www.vitacost.com, my favorite, or found at all health food stores.

Detox and Relax with Epsom Salts

Wellness Tidbit of the Week

March 23, 2012

Dear Soul Friends

We moved into the glorious season of spring this past week.  When spring comes, I immediately think of detoxing my body.  One of my favorite ways is the Epsom salt bath.  Epsom salt is not a salt, but a naturally occurring mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate.

Magnesium is a mineral which plays a role in 325 chemical reactions in the body, decreasing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function and prevents artery hardening.  It even helps migraines. It is very calming to the nervous system.

So far a relaxing, spa like treat, add 1 cup to a bathtub filled half way with water and soak at least 12 minutes. (even one half of a cup works great).  Thirty percent of the magnesium will absorb from the water into your skin and then into your body.   Its best to do this once per week. If you find the bath to by too drying, you can add 3 teaspoons of sweet almond oil, or oil of your choice to the water.

There is a particular brand of Epsom salt that I really like called Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Soaking Solution  called “sleep”, with a lavender band across the front. It is infused with lavender oil which is a great combination. It is available at Wal-Mart on the bath product aisle for about $5 per bag.

I realize not all of us like to take baths, but doing this at least once per week or when you are sore, can have great health benefits.

Soak, relax and enjoy!!

Earthing – Heal by Reconnecting to the Earth’s Energy

Earthing – Heal by Reconnecting to the Earth’s energy

Weekly Wellness Tidbit

Dear Soul Friends:

For a great read, the book Earthing  by Clinton Ober, Stephen Sinatra and Martin Zucker describes how humans are lacking in the Earth’s natural magnetic/electrical energy.   For years, we have lived close to the Earth, like sleeping on the ground and spending time in nature.  Our modern lives have taken us away from this vital connection.

When we disconnect from the Earth’s energy, we get a disruption in our electrical pathways, which results in chronic inflammation.

To feel better, the book recommends being barefoot  in grass, sand, or dirt for 20-30 minutes per day. (hard to do in Northeast Ohio Winter) , or they sell grounding pads, devices, etc to sleep on.  Is this why we always feel so good after returning from that beach vacation??

I personally prefer magnetic and infrared products from the Nikken company,  to tap into the Earth’s magnetic field and the Sun’s energy for optimal healing when I am unable to connect to Earth energy due to bad weather.

The book is very well researched  and has great information about getting back to the basics of nature to heal ourselves.

Earthing can by found in local libraries, or , visit  www.earthing.com to learn more.

Now that we have some great weather, try Earthing to feel better fast!!

Toxins: You and Your Family

February 24, 2012

Dear Soul Friends:

Today I would like to raise your awareness about the toxins you and your family are exposed to on a daily basis.  Food, water, and personal care products are some of the ways we are getting exposed to toxins on a daily basis.

In a study featured on the Environmental Working Group website newborn umbilical cord blood has shown over 200 chemicals.  A preservative called “parabens” is getting attention recently, which is in 85% of all body lotions.  Parabens are actually a hormone disrupter in the body, and are linked to breast cancer.  We used to think of the skin as a barrier, however, now we know that the skin absorbs the chemicals we put on it.

We need to  raise our awareness about all chemicals that we are being exposed to and start reading labels to avoid polyparabens  and methylparaben in the lotions we put on our body.

For more info visit the website of the Environmental Working Group which is www.ewg.org

Have a great week and hope to “see” you on the Sunday night call 2/26  7-8 pm, on the topic of Immaculate Immunity!!

Step Into Your Divine Self Empowerment Call, 12/11 at 7PM EST

I’ve been intuitively hearing the rallying call for Lightworkers (and you are all Lightworkers!) to step more fully into their Divine self and purpose this month.  Join me for a guided meditation where we will invoke your Spiritual Support Team of Angels and Spirit Guides and ask them to align your system on all levels with your highest self.  It’s time to let go of self-limiting beliefs and surrender to Divine love, so we can spread that love to others in all that we do!  The guided meditation will be for the first 20 minutes of the call and the remainder will be mini-readings where I’ll help you see the glory of who you really are!  The first part of the call will be recorded.

Soul Friends’ Community members are free!  Non-members, $15.

Call in details will be sent out on the Soul Friends’ Community email list.  Non-members may register at this link:  EMPOWERMENT CALLS

Hope to talk with you then!

Nancy

PS  Love this Louise Hay quote from the I Can Do It Calendar…

“I make room for all the good that is waiting for me today.”

That’s something that I’ve been hearing a lot about from my Spirit Guides.  We need to make energetic and physical space for the things we want to arrive!  Happy Manifesting!
